Abstract

This study investigated the tutor’s strategies in the speaking program at Kampung Inggris Cipanas. The study focused on the speaking class Program offered at the Kampung Inggris Cipanas, Kampung Inggris, Cipanas, which specifically concentrated on speaking classes. The purpose of this research is to find out the strategies used in subject matter, teaching and learning processes, learning methods. in Kampung Inggris Cipanas, adopting a qualitative approach, the study centered on a particular tutor responsible for instructing the speaking class in the course. Data collection encompassed observation and questionnaire. the researcher found that tutor’s strategies in teaching speaking at Kampung Inggris Cipanas had some varieties way including discussion, Project Based Learning, Describing Pictures, Telling Stories, and Role-Playing. Among these strategies, the drilling technique emerged as frequently utilized for teaching speaking. The suggestion for English teachers was to increase the attractiveness of speaking lessons, teachers can implement activity-based learning methods that actively involve students, such as debates, role plays and group discussions. By utilizing topics that are relevant and interest students, as well as integrating technology such as language learning applications and interactive videos, tutors can create a dynamic and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Moreover, Future researchers are expected to develop and evaluate innovative and interactive learning methods for teaching English speaking skills, utilizing digital technologies such as language learning applications and social media platforms, as well as modern pedagogical approaches such as project-based learning and gamification.
