RELIGIOUS TOURISM AND COMMUNITY ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT:Study of Tourism and Economic Impact in Cianjur Regency

ABSTRACT
Religious tourism in Cianjur Regency has excellent potential. Through 34 tourist attractions in this region, at least six religious tourist attractions attract much interest from local and foreign tourists. If management is optimized correctly, this potential for religious tourism will improve the community's economy in Cianjur Regency. This research aims to analyze the potential for religious tourism in this area, which entreprutilized circles can use optimally to improve the economy of small and medium communities in Cianjur Regency. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis and business economics approach. From the results of the studies that have been carried out, it can be concluded that religious tourism objects in the Cianjur Regency have great potential to be developed as future tourist attractions. This study also seeks to map tourism problems to empower the small and medium economies of the people in Cianjur Regency. Entrepreneurs can utilize the results of this research to develop tourism in this area in the form of atmosphere, events, objects, and services. Among the three regional coverages, north, central, and south, with 34 tourist attractions in Cianjur Regency, the north region is developing quickly and has a strategic location.
